"How are you so sure that she must be kept as a Council Member?" 

Tanuki's voice echoes throughout the office room.

Each Council Member's heads are turned towards one man who sat at the head of the table, seemingly the Overseer. Owner's stare bore onto them, as Tanuki—sat beside her—looked unhappy with the turnaround of the recent mission. 

​

"Forgive me, Isiahi, but Owner has allowed such a large-scale failure to happen. To allow so many people to die and let Playdate escape—not to mention the situation with Phoenix—!"

 

Tanuki abruptly stood up, gritting his teeth, struggling to keep his voice down as he spoke, eyes glaring at the figure across;

The figure across who sat a long distance away, none of them able to get close to him. 

 

Their Boss, Isiahi, watches. 

​

"A punishment for allowing all disasters to happen, would be fitting, don't you think?"

​

Owner was quiet. 

Her eyes never wavered as she looked at the man across them; He doesn't seem to be moving, just simply looking at the group with a neutral expression on his face. 

(But Owner can see it. There was no need to question his decision, for he already made it awhile ago.) 

​

The man doesn't speak. Instead, he gestures for Six, who stood up and walks over to listen to what Isiahi has to say. Isiahi remains calm, and, as Six looks back up, he spoke. 

​

" ...Isiahi believes no punishment is needed."

The Dean of Tuition says. 

​

"Owner did her best in the set of circumstances, and her mishandling of the plan is her punishment itself.

 

To make sure the same mistake doesn't happen again,

 

however,

 

Isiahi would like for us to keep her on our watch." 

​

Mayhem smiled, but Tanuki fumed.

Cyanide's expression didn't change as Owner continued to look at their Boss. 

​

"Isiahi has decided to assign our Librarian, Wu, to watch Owner's actions." 

​

The Council looks at the duo, shocked and confounded. What the fuck? But Isiahi gestures for Six once again, and after a few minutes, he speaks once more. 

​

"Wu has been asking for a higher role in Arkflaw other than just a caretaker and the librarian of Arkflaw.

 

Isiahi believes that it's time to test his abilities,

 

before he is given a more important role." 

​

(How interesting it is that the test was to babysit a Council Member, of all things.) 

​

Everyone nodded their heads,

unable to question anymore now that Isiahi has spoken his final decision.
